1990s
The band
Andrew Casey and Olaf O’Moore meet at school. At sixteen they start a band and run it like a business. Making music, making money, making funky. They don’t know it yet, but they’re learning the lesson everything else gets built on: make something that matters, and figure the rest out as you go.
2007
Ecocabs
We launch cycle taxis in the heart of Dublin. A mad idea. Pedal-powered transport in a city built for cars. People thought we were crazy, then brands saw the vision and sponsored the bikes. Rides were free. Drivers became brand ambassadors. We were making brand experiences before we had the words for it.
2008
Taking it to the streets
We brought the experiences to where culture was actually happening. Festivals, concerts, street corners. Brands meeting real people in real moments. The bikes were the conversation starter, woven into the fabric of the city.
2009
Funked Up Fixies
Led by Olaf, we launch a lifestyle brand. Build your own bike, choose your colours, millions of combinations. The thesis: people deserve to show their uniqueness, not squeeze into someone else’s mould. Some bets paid off, some didn’t. We learned from both.
2014
Ecocabs becomes Headcase
We’d built something, tested it, broken it, rebuilt it, and finally understood what we were really good at: creating work that shifts culture. Time to stop cycling and start leading.
2020
New directions
Olaf becomes a beekeeper, because why should founders stay in one lane. We’re entrepreneurs. Artists. Scholars. Beekeepers. People with too many talents to hide them.
2022
Amilli
We launch a sustainable fashion brand made to help women show their true selves. Led by Karla, our Head of Finance, because at Headcase, finance leaders launch fashion brands. Another experiment. Another bet that diversity and uniqueness will always win.
2023
Choose and refuse
We draw a line. No more working with brands that knowingly harm people or the planet. Industries built on addiction and exploitation. We walk away from the revenue and choose values over profit. We’re not perfect. We’ve worked with brands we wouldn’t work with today. But we’re evolving, and we refuse to stay the same when the world demands better.
2024
Beyond experiential
Brands needed more than activation. They needed strategy that transforms, and commercial advisory that moves numbers. We’d always done it, but now we lead with it. Strategic consulting becomes the foundation, not the follow-through.
Today
Trust your mad idea
We back the organisations willing to take real risks. The ones unafraid to fail, stand back up, and try again. Fail better, learn faster, evolve constantly. Our Head of Finance helps write creative briefs. Our CEO is also a coach. The whole team gets coached, because we believe in progress, not perfection.
